We will start our tour from Istanbul early in the morning and it will terminate at 8/9 pm in the evening. Not far from Troy along the Dardanelles peninsula is the Gallipoli National Park, where annual memorial services are held on ANZAC Day (April 25th) in memory of the many Australian, New Zealand, Turkish, British and Irish troops that lost their lives here during WWI. In the park are the Gallipoli Battlefields, Kabatepe War Museum, Anzac Cove, original tunnels and trenches at Johnston Jolly, the Nek Cemetery, Chunuk Bair New Zealander Memorial, Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Brighton Beach.

" Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives...! You are now lying in the soul of a friendly country, therefore rest in peace. There is no differences between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours...You, the mothers who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears. Your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well." Ataturk 1934.
